Strategy Guide

I'm going to write up a quick strategy guide review for Xerxes Rift Guide because its such a good guide that even after reaching level and gear cap, I'm still constantly referring back to it.When I started playing rift recently, I wanted to get ahead of everybody else who was starting the fresh MMO with me. I looked around for the best leveling and also importantly best compilation of top PvE and PvP soul builds and wanted to check it out for myself. You can check out their official site here.

The Xerxes Rift Strategy guide is put together very well. You get access to a member’s area once you buy the guide.
They divided the entire guide into 4 main sections:

  • Beginner’s crash course
  • Rift leveling guides
  • Rift builds guides
  • High quality maps

The Rift character soul build guides section is amazing. They have every kind of build for every soul mix. I’ve already gone through the mage and rogue builds guides, and I was amazed at how detailed and easy to follow they are. They go over the best leveling builds, healing builds, support builds, best PvP builds and a few other genre of builds. My favorite section by far.

The High Quality Maps section: You’re able to download 6 high quality maps.

The Beginner’s Crash Course is a collection of 3 PDFs. The first is just a beginner’s guide, which explains a bit about general game features such as callings (just a fancy name for classes) and what to expect when progressing through the class system. The other 2 PDFs are on the UI (User Interface) and a guide on rifting. I mean most of this can be found on the actual website but Xerxes have added a few extra hints and tips.

Another huge point to keep in mind is that the Xerxes RIFT Guide team are constantly updating their content.  I'm not sure how frequently, but it seems either weekly or twice a week they update it. If anybody else gets the guide, please comment and let me know what you think of it!
